DANGEROUS PERIODS

DANGEROUS PERIODS

Through Kroorabda, Kroormaasa 64th Navamsha, 22nd Drekkana and Trimshamsha
Life is full of ups and downs. Often we come across difficult or
adverse period which may be predicted if one follows the correct dasha and transit of planets over sensitive points of the horoscope.
One of the foremost of these is 64th Navamsha. It is calculated from D-1 (Natal Chart) lagna or the Moon, place the degree of the lagna or the Moon in eight sign from it and calculate the navamsha. In the navamsha chart it falls in the fourth house from the lagna or the Moon, as the case may be. Any malefic transit over the eighth house or corresponding to the 64th navamsha or khar navamsha as it is also called, gives difficult periods. For the rationale and theoretical basis one may see “Navamsha in Astrology” by C. S. Patel and for ready reference article “64th Navamsha” authored by Shri Ashutosh Sharma.
Similarly 8th house sign and 22nd Drekkana of corresponding drekkana from the lagna or the Moon should be taken into consideration. Any malefic transit over this point also results in bad impact on body.
Such sensitive points are always present in the horoscope but for the event to occur a native should get the related dasha and transit. Planets which are placed 6th, 8th or 12th from the lagna, chandra lagna and navamsha lagna or in Trimshamsha of Saturn or Mars often pose difficult periods in their dasha (MD/ AD/PD).
Similarly the transiting planets over natal planets or the sensitive points give their impact.
But in our discussion, we shall confine to Jupiter and the Sun during Krura year (Krurabdha) and Krura month (Kruramaas). The signs aspected by Eighth lord or sign occupied by it or at trines to sign occupied by randhresh ( 8th Lord), whenever transited by Jupiter gives health related problems and so is the case with the Sun.

Krurabda and Kruramas defined

Deva Keralam introduces many rare concepts, one of it is:

रन्ध्रेशाक्रान्त भवनद्रष्ट राश्यंशकोणगाः।

क्रूरमासा इति ख्याताः क्रूराब्दे योजयेत् क्रमात।।

Meaning: The sign occupied by the lord of 8th house and its trinal signs or signs aspected by it and the sign identical with navamsha occupied by it (8th lord) and trines thereof are said to be Krura signs. Transit of the Sun through these signs is known as kruramasa and transit of the Jupiter through these signs one may call them Krura month and Krura year respectively.

रन्ध्रशांशकगे मन्दे क्रूराब्दे, क्रूरमासगे।

देहे जीवे राहुयुते ह्यपमृत्युभयं कवचित्।।

Meaning: Sometimes fear of an untimely death when :
(i) Saturn transits the navamsha rashi occupied by the 8th Lord.
(ii) Sun transits krura sign. (krura month).
(iii) Jupiter transits krura sign. (krurabdha).
(iv) Rahu occupies deha or jeeva rashi (as per Kaala Chakra Dasha)

क्रूराब्दे क्रूरमासे वा क्रूरांशे गोचरे शनौ।

देहजाड्यं च लभते क्रूरभूत्तौ विशेषतः।।

Meaning: Physical sickness will happen when:
(i) Jupiter transits a krura sign. (krurabda)
(ii) The Sun transits a krura sign (krura month Kruramas)
(iii) Saturn transits a malefic navamsa (1-8-10-11 or 5) in any sign.
Example-1: 25-09-1929 16.12 Bulandshahr (U.P.) heart attack on 05-10-1980
64th navamsha from lagna is sagittarius in Leo sign. 64 Navamsha from moon is Capricorn in Capricorn sign. The 22nd Drekkana is Mars (Aries Sign.) Transit of ketu was in Leo navamsha and Capricorn in Natal Mars is being transited by 12 Lord Jupiter and lagnesh and 2nd lord Satern in D-I chart and by Satin D-9 Chart.
At the time of heart attack i.e. on 05-10-1980 native was running dasha of Sat/Rah/Rah. As stated earlier the planets associated with 6th, 8th or 12th houses from lagna, moon lagna or navamsha lagna or in trimshamsha are responsible for ailments or difficult period. In the given horoscope dasha nath Sat in 12th house in DI chart is being aspected by 22nd drekkana lord Mars. Saturn itself is lord of 64 navamsha,

In D-9 chart it is 6th lord placed in 8th house, and that too in its debilitated sign. In D-30 chart also it carries its maleficence being in 6th House, debilitated and with 8th lord mercury. Rahu (antar dashanath and pratayantar dashanath) is in fourth house aspected by Mercury. 6th lord, Mars the eighth and sixth lord of navamsha and trimshamsha chart respectively. Rahu is in 2nd house, marak bhava of D-9

chart. It is aspected by 6th lord Saturn from 8th house. It is also in 8th house of trimshamsha chart and aspected by Saturn from 6th house and 6th lord Mars. In D-1 chart the Rahu is in rashi of Mars and in D-9 as well as in D-30 chart the Saturn is in Aries, sign of Mars.
This evil result will be certain, if at that time dasha bhukti of a malefic planet is also running.
In the example horoscope, the 8th lord is the Sun which is placed in ninth house and was aspecting sign Pisces and trinal signs are Capricorn and Taurus. Jupiter was transiting (Krurabda) over natal Sun along with the Sun transiting (Krura month) in Virgo sign. The natal 8th lord Sun was in Pisces navamsha and Saturn was transiting exactly over the Sun during its transit.
Unlimited number of formulations can be tested over these principles, but each article has its words limit.
