The Upgraha are stars , or constellations (Nakshatra) counted from the one occupied by the sun at any given times .They are 8 in number .When planets are placed in any of these 8 upgrahas then they cause obstacles in undertaking .the more the planet in these upagrahas, the greater is the intensity of the bad results.
However, each upagraha has been allotted a planet and these obstacles caused by the upagraha can be overcome by doing shanti (propitiation) of the relevant planet, which can also be said to be the lord of the Upagraha.
Result of upagrahas
If a nakshatra is receiving malefic Vedha and an upagraha is also placed there , then it is very likely that the person will face death either due to war or disease.
To ward off the evil effects of the upgrahas the planet associated with it should be propitiated
The Nakshatra Abhijit Should not is included while counting the upagrahas.
Special Nakshatra
For Ordinary Persons, Six Nakshatras are important i.e. the Nakshatra of the Natal Moon janam Nakshatra.
The 10th nakashatra from the Janam Nakshatra or Karma Nakshatra.
The 19th Nakshatra from the Janam Nakshatra or Adhaan Nakshatra.
The 16th nakashatra from the Janam Nakshatra or sanghaatik nakshatra.
The 18th Nakshatra from the janam Nakshatra or samudaayik Nakshatra or Uday Nakshatra.
The 23rd Nakshatra from the janam Nakshatra or Vinaash Nakshatra for kings, three more Nakshatra are important i.e. 9 in all.
The 25th Nakshatra from the Janam nakshatra or Jaati nakshatra or maanas nakshatra.
The 26th Nakshatra From the Janam Nakshatra or Desh nakshatra .
The 27th nakshatra From the Janam Nakshatra or Rajyabhishek Nakshatra.
The nakshatra Of the Name of the country is called Desh Nakshatra and the Nakshatra in which The Head of state was coroneted is called Rajyaabhishek Nakshatra.
1) Malefic Vedha to the Janam nakshatra causes death.
2) Malefic Vedha to the Karma Nakshatra cases quarrels.
3) Malefic vedha to the Adhaa nakshatra causes foreign residence.
4) Malefic vedha to the Vinaash Nakshatra Causes strife with relatives.
5) Malefiv vedha to the sanghatik nakshatra causes loss.
6) Malefic Vedha to the Samudayik/uday Nakshatra causes in auspicious results.
7) Malefic vedha to the Jaati /maanas Nakshatra Causes destruction of the Tribe.
8) Malefic vedha to the Desh Nakshtra Causes destructions of Kingdom.
9) Malefic Vedha to the Abhishek Nakshatra causes Bondage of the king.
10) If any one of the 6th nakshatra has malefic vedha and an upagraha is also placed on it, then death is certain .But if the nakshatra has a benefic associated with it, and then the benefic results prevail.
11) If the Jana nakshatra has vedha by a benefic, then there is destruction of disease and calamity, and if the vedha is by a benefic, then there is loss of wealth.
12) If the vinash Samudaaik and sanghatak nakshatra heve vedha by melefic, then there is fear of untimely death.
13) If a planet placed on the Janam Nakshatra is afflicted in any of these 5ways i.e.(A) Receiving malefic vedha (b)Conjunct with a malefic,(c) conjunct with an upagraha (d) Receives the latta of a planet (e) aspected by Malefics , then the native dies within 1 Month.
14) If these afflictions are on the karma Nakshatra, then Death occurs in 2 Months and 13days due to quadruped’s, water Snakes or a fall on the road.
15) If This yoga occurs on the sanghatik nakshtra , tehn the Native dies in his own house in 3Months or 5days or 1 Month.
16) If this yoga takes place on the Uday Nakshatra, then death occurs due to weapons, poisoning, bandage, or of its own, in 4 months.
17) If this yoga is on the Vinash Nakshatra, then one dies in 3 days due to wounds, dies in days due to wounds, Disease, hunger, or in 5days while travelling abroad.
18) If this yoa is on the Maanas Nakshtra a,then death occurs in 4 months due to many diseases.
19) If the sun is on the Janam Nakshatra and the moon and the Mars on the Karma Nakshatra, Death takes place in 12 nights due to imprisonment by the Enemy.
20) If the sun is on the Karma nakshtra and the Moon and Mars on the sanghatik Nakshatra,then death takes place in 1Month.
21) I the Sun on Sanghatik and the Moon and Mars are of uday Nakshtra, death occurs in 3Months due to defect of Vayu(airy humor) in the body.
22) If the sun is on Uday nakshtra and the Moon and Mars are vanaashik Nakshatra, Death occurs due to disease of the blood or the anus.
23) If the sun is on Vannashik Nakshtra and the Moon and Mars are on Maans Nakshtra, Death occurs in 6th month and 3 days.
24) If the sun is on maanas Nakshatra and the Moon and Mars are on the Janam Nakshatra, Death occurs in 1years and 3 months.
25) If mars is on the Janam Nakshatra and the sun and the Moon are on the Karma Nakshara , Death occurs in 4Months or 4 days due to water.
26) If mars are on karma nakshatra and the Sun and the Moon are on sanghatik nakshatra, Death occurs due to a berar or other wild animals in 4 Moths.
27) If Mars is on Sanghatik nakshatra and the sun and the Moon are on Uday nakashatra, Death occurs in the beginning of the year due to diseases.
28) If Mars is on Uday nakashatra and the sun and the moon are on Vainashik nakashatra, death occurs due to indigestion, dyspepsia or lack of appetite.
29) If Mars is on Vainashik Nakshatra and the Sun and the Moon are on maanas Nakshatra, death occurs in 1 year due to diseases.
30) If mars are on Maanas nakashatra and the Sun and the Moon are on janam Nakshatra, Death takes place in 6 Months due to injury.
31) If Saturn is on Janam Nakshatra and the Moon and Mars are on Karma Nakshatra, Death occurs in 3 Months due to suicide or injury due to weapons.
32) If Saturn is placed on Karma Nakshatra and the Moon and Mars are Palced on sanghatik Nakshatra, death occurs due to fire in 1 year.
33) If Saturn is on sanghatik nakshatra and the Natal Moon and mars are palced on Uday Nakshatra ,death occurs in 4 days.
